Tokyo Ghoul is a dark comedy of a broken life. If you’re lucky enough, you’re born with all legs and hands. You have 2 parents. Maybe even a sibling. You have love… you are loved. When you have something you don’t notice. But one day something always happens. Something that breaks you in half. It always happens. Sooner or later. The kind of questions that makes you question:
Why Me? Why Now?
For me, Tokyo Ghoul is a life that happens afterwards. After the point of no return. Life doesn’t give a damn if you’re prepared for this moment or not. For some, it happens even before their birth, a serious sickness for example. For Kaneki it happened in his teen years. He wasn’t prepared. But life didn’t care.
